Welcome to the vision for a Connected City
Centro and Birmingham City Council are laying the foundations for the future of Birmingham – a vibrant and liveable global city. Our vision is based on a well connected, efficient and walkable city.
By improving access to and across the city centre, our aim is to make it easier for pedestrians, public transport users and cyclists.
The Connected City Projects can be found in projects tab of this website
If you would like to download a PDF with more details about the proposed road changes to create the new bus interchanges and bring Midland Metro through the city centre to New Street Station please click here.
Bus service stopping points in the city centre will be changing for some services from the 22nd July. Corporation Street between Bull Street and Stephenson Street will no longer have bus services stopping on it. Details of the bus routes will soon be available on this website. Information will also be available at city centre bus stops prior to any change.
